With that in mind Horizon Entertainment takes the responsibility of being your choice for wedding deejay entertainment very seriously. With having nearly a thousand successful wedding receptions to our track record, you can rest assured that there will be no surprises on your wedding day. With Horizon Entertainment you will get a personalized wedding deejay service that is tailored to your particular needs and desires. We can provide music for your wedding ceremony. We will work with your photographer and videographer on site. A free wedding reception guide sheet is also available; in it are all the details including the introduction of the bridal party, cake cutting, asking the blessing, making toasts, the first dance, the parent dances, grand march, the bouquet toss and everything else in between are handled ahead of time. Our sound system looks good, sounds great, and is at the perfect volume level. Our music library contains over 100,000 music titles and spans all genres and time periods from 1940s big band to today's top 40. Finally, we want you to be relaxed and have fun at your own party, to be thinking of your honeymoon, not the details. Remember, hiring the right wedding dj is important, because hiring the right wedding dj makes a wedding reception fun and memorable for everyone involved. Wedding dj's are often hired, instead of bands for a wedding reception, partly because of cost savings, but primarily because a wedding dj can play music that spans all ages and tastes. A wedding dj will also double as the Emcee or Master of Ceremonies, leading the festivities and keeping the reception running smoothly. For this reason, it is usually a good idea to meet with your wedding dj several weeks before your wedding to discuss and go over the desired order of events for your reception. Horizon Entertainment will provide you with a wedding reception guide sheet. This will allow you to provide your wedding DJ with a copy of any special wedding songs (first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, etc.) if Horizon Entertainment does not already have it. After all the special dances are through, an experienced wedding DJ will know how to read a crowd and usually find a way to get people on the dance floor. Although you are hiring a knowledgeable professional, your Horizon Entertainment wedding dj will be open to music requests from you and your guests. As you meet with your wedding dj for the first time, make sure they have the type of music you and your guests will want to have played (such as Alternative, Rock, Pop, Disco, Swing, Salsa, Country, Rap, Hip-Hop, Polkas, Waltzes, CHR, Jazz, Blues, etc.) to keep everyone dancing. Horizon Entertainment has over 100,000 music titles, so this shouldn't be much of a concern, however, it's always good to discuss the type of music you want with your wedding dj, regardless. Once you decide on which type of wedding music to play, it is always a good idea to interview several wedding dj's and review their qualifications BEFORE hiring one of them. It is always better to go over all the details with your wedding dj and make sure that everything you want is written down and included in a contract before you sign it. Lastly, you may want to have your wedding dj provide you with a list of references before hiring them! Wedding DJ Contingencies Make sure your wedding DJ will appear in proper attire (Tuxedo, etc). Ask your wedding DJ if they have ever performed at your reception location and make sure they are familiar with the policies, and providedirections to the location, if not, etc. Ask your wedding DJ for any setup requirements they might have and make sure they will have a full-line of backup equipment available on the job site, just in case. Ask if the wedding DJ you interview will be the same as the one showing up at your wedding. If not, interview the correct disc jockey or scratch them off your list.
