The Little Big Band was established in 1991 as the <br />
"Friendly Little German Band" consisting of six musicians. <br />
As the band grew it decided to play more of the swing and big band music<br />
<br />
Now the band consists of 12 members from the Ft Wayne area including a vocalist. <br />
This is a scaled-down version of the big bands of the 1930's and 1940's
<br />
who had up to 20 musicians plus any vocalists that they required. <br />
Even though the band is smaller than the original big bands, <br />
the sound is exactly the same.<br />
